At Jordan's Point this year! Come to one planting session and lunchtime activities!

Woods Creek Restoration Day is part of a long-range community goal to protect the character and quality of our highly valued natural & recreational resource - Woods Creek.  Join in planting, learning, teaching and/or celebrating!  Opportunities abound for people of all ages to make a difference. 

9:00 - 10:30 -- Guide training. If you'd like to guide, contact Mollie Messimer (see below)

10:30 - 12:00 -- First planting session. Please preregister (see below)

11:45 - 1:15 -- Food sales, fun activities and conservation information

  • Healthy Foods Coop will sell food and drinks (bring about $5 per person)
  • Outdoor activities and environmental games for children
  • Information booths (various conservation groups will be represented)

1:00 - 2:30 -- Second planting session. Please preregister (see below)

We will need:

  • Name of contact person and e-mail or snail mail address
  • Number in your group
  • Which planting session (a.m. or p.m.)

Woods Creek Restoration Project is an action plan for protecting the character and quality of this highly valued natural and recreational resource. This project encompasses the whole of the watershed and includes plans for:

  • stream bank stabilization to decrease erosion
  • storm water runoff management to decrease pollution and flood potential
  • riparian buffer restoration and protection to naturally filter pollutants and provide natural habitat for birds and other animals
  • public education programs to help us all get the most out of this resource.
